Re:therapy in sports - 2007/03/08 04:27 Hi Rafaello,

Thanks for your valuable input. As you suggest there is a great importance of massage and manual therapies in the field of sports and recuperation. Ans as you may know Swedish massage by Per-Henrik Ling origiated as a therapy often applied together with different forms of physical exercise. There are also many projects and research studies out there on this interesting topic. For your information we are currently working to get a research database up and running on this site. Using the database you will be able to search and read research summaries and get scientific references targeting sports and manual medicine, massage etc. Until then I welcome you and all other visitors to maybe report your ideas, hypothesis and clinical experience using some specific techniques and your clinical results (this is what might be called individual "case reports" in reserch terms). We look forward to hear from you!

Yours in health,

Tobias Sundberg,
